XBOX Point of Purchase Displays

Microsoft’s XBOX was a challenge to the established leader in the video game industry — Sony. The Playstation was introduced in 1994, and the Playstation 2, in 2000. XBOX entered the market in 2001. Sony responded by introducing the PlayStation Portable in 2004, and the PlayStation 3 in 2006. It could be argued that Halo was the reason XBOX is around today. Here are the displays built from the original XBOX Style Guide.

ometimes your job as a graphic designer is not to come up with new ideas but to instead build up the brand by following the brand guidelines supplied by the client. This was true for me with the XBOX marketing work I produced.

This was true for the XBOX displays. We were given the first version of the style guide, and the specs to the displays, and the vector logos, from that point it’s a matter of following instructions.
