What makes for good graphics when you’re creating the signage for retail and office space in a now repurposed brewery and manufacting buildings? How about using actual historical photographs from the city of Portland’s archive?

I

never would have thought that parking garage graphics would be part of my portfolio. But that opportunity came as a I worked at Anderson Krygier, a design firm specialing in signage and wayfinding. We worked directly with architects, using their CAD files and rebuilding them in Illustrator to create scale renderings of our proposed signage at the location. The architects supported my idea for historical photos and typography.
