Unconventional skateboard graphics, spattered with mind provoking quotes produced for an escape from corporate standards. Providing a chance to experiment using traditional design tools in unexpected ways.
I
consider this an important creative outlet. A place were design can be approached as fine art, and in that space all experimentation is possible. It is a healthy practice to occasionally design with that amount of freedom. It prepares you to work with tight deadlines and strict brand standards required in normal contracts.

Designs Published
In the Fall of 2010 Rockport Publishers and Modern Dog colaborated to make a book about skateboard graphics. The book is titled, Inside the World of Board Graphics: Skate, Surf, Snow. There was a competition for entries for entries, and several of my skateboard deck designs that are featured in this book. The book was released in September 2011.

Wild in the Streets
The skateboard company Emerica, gathers skateboards from all across the U.S. to one town each year. In 2012 it was Detroit’s turn. The event raised over $4,000 for the construction of a new skatepark. I designed and donated four decks that were given away at the fundraising event titled, “Emerica® Wild in the Streets – Detroit”.
