Covenant HealthCare Portal
CHCP has chosen to construct a custom Portal Section. This portal will be used for communication and networking of physicians, CHP staff, and CHP committees.
T
his portal was designed to provide for meaningful and deep connection within the Covenant HealthCare Partners network. The design aspires to provide the partners throughout the local area a communication tool, a platform for professional growth, and a way for them to judge their performance via the shared report cards. The colors and typography are inspired by the branding guidelines from Covenant Medical Center, reflecting the Covenant brand.

Process
I enjoy following a structured process when creating interfaces. This starts with research, then moves to low fidelity prototypes, then usability studies, then based on the results of the studies and client feedback — we move to the high fidelity prototypes.
Covenant HealthCare Partners, this portal allows the group’s leadership to share files, create events, and make announcements to their members.
Research
I interview the client, including all involved committees — seeking to understand their vision for the software. I will then gather more input via a Google Survey. This data will be reviewed and shared with the client as a research booklet confirming we agree to the purposes for the software.

InVision
My low fidelity prototype tool of choice is InVision. It is quick and easily adjustable. I also make videos for clients using OBS. These videos are shared privately on YouTube. This way clients can review the project progress at their convience.

Usability Studies
Once the InVision mock-up is completed, I will work with future users of the CHCP portal to test the interface. I will share with each reviewer the same set of tasks/questions. In this way we can discover any issues that create confusion and need correcting. Those changes will be applied to the new high-fidelity prototype.
